Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site

Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site in Virginia honors the life and legacy of businesswoman and community leader Maggie Lena Walker. Visitors enjoy touring the neighborhood’s visitor center and Maggie’s home, considered an “urban mansion,” where exhibits, orientation films, and original furnishings provide context to her life and those of other African Americans in early 20th-century Richmond.
