The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, built in 1843, is preserved as part of Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, New York. On July 19 and 20, 1848, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Martha Wright, Marr Ann M'Clintock, and Jane Hunt hosted the First Women's Rights Convention held in the United States. Three hundred people attended the Convention in the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. They discussed the Declaration of Sentiments and resolutions calling for equality for men and women under the law.
