Catoctin Mountain Park Magnet

Item#: 368802

Originally created in 1935 as a Recreational Demonstration Area, Catoctin Mountain Park is a shining example of the legacy of FDR's Works Progress Administration. The transformation of the area from a place of industry to a place of natural beauty employed needy people during The Great Depression. A portion became a part of the National Park System in 1954, and another portion became the famous presidential retreat, Camp David.

This rectangular magnet presents a vista from one of the Catoctin peaks, showing craggy rocks in the immediate foreground and a vast green sea of trees behind.

Put this magnet on your fridge to remind yourself that an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life is only a short hike away at Catoctin Mountain Park!
