Description

The Battle of Parker's Cross Roads was fought on December 31, 1862, in Henderson County, Tennessee, during the American Civil War. The Confederate forces commanded by General Nathan Bedford Forrest were confronted by two Union brigades commanded by General Jeremiah C. Sullivan.

Today, the core battlefield has been preserved, and visitors to the Parker's Crossroads National Battlefield Park can now enjoy 2 miles of paved walking trails with interpretive signs installed along the trail system. Visitors have the opportunity for a complete overview and understanding of the battle fought at Parkers Crossroads.

This Christmas ornament combines intricate holiday detail with historical commemoration: a tribute to the battle surrounded by a sculpture depicting a variety of festive holiday items.
