Description

Formed during the Ice Age, the Paterson Great Falls is one of America’s most powerful waterfalls. During America’s industrial revolution, water wheels were used to power Paterson’s factories and mills. Then, one of the nation’s first hydroelectric plants was built in Paterson in 1914 to replace the water wheels. This plant helped power the local industries created by America’s industrial revolution until 1969. Now a scenic landmark of Paterson, the Great Falls is pictured on our collectible lapel pin.
