Vietnam Women's Memorial Patch
Item#: 382925Description
During the Vietnam era, approximately 11,000 American women were stationed in Vietnam during the conflict, with over 265,000 women serving in the military in total. Close to 90% were nurses, but others served as everything from clerks to intelligence officers to air traffic controllers— almost all of them were volunteers.
This patch displays three women: One kneeling, reflecting on the horrors of war; another comforting a dying soldier; and a third woman looking up towards the sky, waiting for a helicopter.
Today, the Vietnam Women's Memorial Foundation serves to remember and celebrate the legacy of their valor and sacrifice. Your purchase helps support that effort.
