Martin Van Buren held many positions in government, from state senator, to secretary of state, to vice president under Andrew Jackson, and then finally to the presidency. Van Buren's most lasting legacy is his organization of the modern Democratic Party.
After his presidency, Van Buren retired to his estate of Lindenwald. By all accounts Van Buren greatly enjoyed his retirement, referring to his time on the estate as his last and happiest years.
This collectible Lapel pin features a raised image of both Lindenwald and our nation's 8th president. Pick up this lapel pin for a unique keepsake to remember your visit to the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site today.
