Ray House Wooden Ornament

Item#: 429607

The Ray family's house in Greene County, Missouri was the only building left after the Battle of Wilson's Creek. The Ray family lived on a 120-acre farm with their large family and a few slaves. The family and slaves hid in their cellar during the battle, and once the fighting was over, found their house unscathed and turned into a makeshift hospital. Our Ray House Wooden Ornament is a unique symbol of the luck and aid that the Ray family had during a time of violence and war.
