Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States from 1861 until he was assassinated in 1865. He owned a two-story home in Springfield, Illinois which he and his family lived in until he was elected President in 1860. Since house numbers weren’t introduced in Springfield until 1873, the Lincolns, like many families, used a nameplate to identify their house to visitors. This nameplate patch is a nod to that historical trend. Wear it to decorate your favorite bag or clothing.
