Our replica dish towel was woven on restored Draper Model E looms in the Boott Cotton Museum at Lowell National Historical Park. The striped pattern shown is one of many designs seen in nearly every home in America at the height of the Industrial Revolution. A historical textile reproduction, it preserves the history of female factory workers who were the backbone of America’s domestic textile industry. In 1954, the Boott Cotton Mills complex ceased operations as mass produced textiles for consumers were relocated to facilities down South.
