This collectible depicts Paul Laurence Dunbar, Dayton native and one of the first well-recognized African American writers, holding a pen besides a copy the Dayton Tattler, the weekly newspaper he edited. Alongside Dunbar are his classmates, and airplane inventors, the Wright Brothers—who printed The Tattler. The brother's Wright Flyer appears in the upper right-hand corner.
This collectible created to honor these brilliant and wildly influential Buckeyes is illustrated by Frank McShane.
