Dreams of Equality was commissioned by the National Park Service for Women's Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, New York. Although the recreation of the First Women's Rights Convention is the centerpiece of the film, it does more than record a significant historical event. It tells the story of the Convention through the interactions between a sister and brother from 1848 to the 1860s. In addition to the historical segments, vignettes of young people discussing their views of the women's rights struggle provide a contemporary relevance for the audience. 28 minutes, DVD, color.
