Elkhorn Tavern- Pea Ridge Hiking Medallion

Established in 1956 as a unit of the National Park Service, the park preserves the site of and commemorates the most important Civil War battle west of the Mississippi. The historic Elkhorn Tavern was at the center of fighting during the Battle of Pea Ridge March 7-8, 1862.
