Weir Farm NHS is the only National Park Service site dedicated to American Painting. From 1882 to 2005, the southwestern Connecticut farm was home to three generations of American artists.
Today, the 60-acre farm—which includes the Weir House, Weir and Young studios, barns, gardens, and Weir Pond—is one of the nation's finest landscapes of American art. the farm land's rolling hills, open fields, and distinctive stone walls continue to inspire artistic expression.
