Description

Leetown was one of the first locations where the armies fought at the Battle of Pea Ridge. The little village was completely obliterated during the battle. The wounded were brought here, where the buildings served as hospitals. After the battle, occupants moved to Pea Ridge to rebuild their lives. After the destruction at Leetown, both armies moved on to Elkhorn Tavern.

This lapel pin details Elkhorn Tavern. The fighting on day two of the Battle of Pea Ridge was focused around this tavern, which is a two story building made out wood with elk horns attached to the roof. The building is depicted in front of a light blue sky and bright, green grass. Attach this pin to your favorite jacket to remember the fun time you had exploring Pea Ridge National Military Park.
