Located in Massachusetts and created in 1959, Minute Man National Historical Park keeps alive the history of the first battle in the American Revolution, when the famed ''shot heard round the world'' was fired. Among the Colonists who fought in that battle were quite a few Minute Men, so-called for their responsibility to be ready for combat with a musket in hand at a minute's notice.
Those fast and furious fighters are memorialized in the park's Minute Man Statue, which also appears on this patch in a colorful illustration that carries on the memory. Being also the logo for the National Guard as well as appearing on US savings bonds, it's an image you can be proud to wear.
