Alcatraz Island is one of the Golden Gate National Parks. Carved by natural and human forces, Alcatraz was a military fortification and federal prison off-limits to the public for almost a century. Today, this once-desolate island in the center of the San Francisco Bay is a national park with historic gardens, tide pools, bird colonies, and bay views beyond compare.

I have a few patches, and this one is good size, bright red color for the sky! I couldn't find a hiking medallion for this park, so got the patch instead. They all go on a 'memory' wall for each park I've visited so far.
