Carlsbad Caverns National Park Patch

Carlsbad Caverns National Park is situated in the Guadalupe Mountains on the northern edge of the Chihuahuan Desert. Within the park boundaries more than 118 known caves have been discovered and explored. The caves are some of the biggest and longest in the world and were formed by a very unusual ingredient: sulfuric acid.
