On May 22, 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt designated Crater Lake National Park, teeming with wildlife, seasonal waterfalls, 90 miles of hiking trails, and striking reflections of the towering peaks above the crystal clear lake within its 183,000 acres. At 1,943 feet, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States.
