Lincoln Home Pin
This commemorative pin displays the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, preserving the townhouse of lawyer and 16th U.S. President-elect, Abraham Lincoln. The only home Lincoln ever owned, the family home is displayed against a blue sky and surrounded by the bustle of a developing capital city. In 1887 Lincoln’s only surviving son Robert Lincoln donated the home to the people of Springfield, Illinois who maintained it as a memorial to the martyred Civil War era president.
