Apostle Islands National Lakeshore

Twenty-one islands and twelve miles of mainland along Lake Superior make up Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Designated in 1970, the coastal park preserves significant historic sites, such as Sand Islands Lighthouse, and provides many recreational activities both on water and on the shore.
