This commemorative pin displays the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, preserving the townhouse of lawyer and 16th U.S. President-elect, Abraham Lincoln. In 1887 Lincoln’s only surviving son Robert Lincoln donated the home to the people of Springfield, Illinois who maintained it as a memorial to the martyred Civil War era president.
