Just as its name implies, this is a place of pointy spires of rock—the eroded remains of a long-extinct volcano. These unique formations not only create a distinctive landscape but also make the park a mountain climber's playground. Then there are the talus caves. Unlike the subterranean spaces you'll find at Mammoth Cave, these are essentially empty spaces formed when huge rocks fell and became wedged in gorges. When you visit this park, you are seeing firsthand the results of various geological and volcanic changes.
When you purchase this item, you're doing more than buying a memento; you're helping Eastern National in its mission to support the national parks.

THANK YOU for being available when the Visitor's Centers were forced to close. I collect the NPS pins when I visit the park because they are the perfect reminder of my visits. In truth, I turn them into magnets, but I love the size. The art work always captures the parks succinctly and beautifully.
