Obed Wild and Scenic River

Obed Wild & Scenic River stretches across the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee mostly undeveloped, thereby retaining much of its rugged and untamed natural character. The area was first inhabited by Native Americans and early fishing and fur-trapping pioneers. Today’s visitors enjoy the wide variety of recreational activities available in the park, including hiking, camping, rock climbing, and birdwatching.
