Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site
Dedicated on October 26, 1974, Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site preserves the structure and honors the legacy of the historic Tuskegee Institute, a college for African Americans founded in 1881 by Booker T. Washington. Located east of Montgomery, Alabama, visitors tour the Oaks, the house and home of Booker T. Washington, and the George Washington Carver Museum.
