Green Glass Onion Bottle
This Piece is a Historical Reproduction
Our Green Glass Onion Bottle is modeled after a historical artifact discovered in Jamestown, Virginia dating back to anywhere between 1680 and 1730. The bottle’s design was an answer to tavern owners seeking a bottle less prone to breakage compared to earlier glass bottle. Featuring a bulbous, onion shaped body, from which its name is derived; this bottle has a broad base and short neck, providing much needed stability.
Individually hand blown, our Green Glass Onion Bottle holds more than just wine and spirits – but also historical Colonial accuracy as it green, the natural of glass.
