The Lexington-Concord Battle Road
The battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775, mark the start of the American Revolutionary War. On this day, tensions finally boiled over between the British and Americans, as the struggle for independence began. History notes this battle as a win for the patriot forces, who were more prepared for British advances than initially calculated. However, both sides faced losses, a sign of the ensuing years yet to be fought.
