Kings Canyon National Park Patch
Kings Canyon National Park's 461,901 acres consists of two sections. The main section of the park features sheer granite mountains towering above white glacier canyons, pristine lakes, and 75 of the most rugged miles of the John Muir Trail. Unconnected and to the west, is original General Grant National Park, which is home to the 3,000 year-old General Grant Tree, standing 267 feet tall. Established on March 4, 1940, both parks are together one spectacular unit.
