Mount Rainer National Park was created in 1899 by President William McKinley. The fifth national park created, Mount Rainer was the first park that evolved from an earlier designation as a National Forest. The park protects over 350 square miles of varied landscape, over 97 % of which is designated Wilderness.
Depicting the park's unique and abrupt rise in elevation, this Walking Stick Medallion presents one of Mount Rainer’s subalpine meadows in the foreground, while the park's namesake stratovolcano occupies the rest of the image.
If you've hiked any of the amazing trails that circle Mount Rainer, this is the perfect way to brag to your fellow hikers or adventurers. For the collector, this special edition medallion looks just as great in a collection as it does on your hiking stick.
