Vicksburg was known as ''The Gibraltar of the Confederacy'', mainly for the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River which gave a distinct advantage to the Confederate artillery. However, after fighting a campaign from March 29, 1863, to July 4, 1863, the city surrendered to Union troops.

Our collectible lapel pin commemorates the Siege of Vicksburg and features the Memorial Arch, dedicated in 1920 as a memorial to the 1917 four-day reunion of veterans.

Product Details

  • Memorial Arch is located at the start of the tour route at Vicksburg National Military Park in Vicksburg, Mississippi
  • Vicksburg NMP pin measures 1''W x 1 1/8''H
