Vicksburg National Military Park Pin
Vicksburg was known as ''The Gibraltar of the Confederacy'', mainly for the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River which gave a distinct advantage to the Confederate artillery. However, after fighting a campaign from March 29, 1863, to July 4, 1863, the city surrendered to Union troops.
Our collectible lapel pin commemorates the Siege of Vicksburg and features the Memorial Arch, dedicated in 1920 as a memorial to the 1917 four-day reunion of veterans.
